Stephanie

My name is Stephanie, I am a mom of 2 boys and mom to a fur baby named Rocky. I’ve loved dogs ever since I can remember, but I never thought of a career working with animals until about a year ago.

I started volunteering at the Burlington Humane Society back in November 2023 as a way to getting started in the field of animal care, where I now hold a key holder position.

Everyone here as been very supportive and helpful, always ready to answer questions and educate. I look forward to keep learning and building relationships in the clinic.

The goal is to go back to school to become a Veterinary Technician. Although I am interested in the rescuing field as well. At the moment I am upgrading some high school courses and once I have completed those, the plan is to apply for the program.

Fun fact: I lived in Portugal for 9 years
