Vaccinations for Puppies and Dogs

Vaccinations are the best course of action to protect your furry friend from preventable illnesses. Both puppies and adult dogs need to follow a vaccination schedule to fight off diseases and maintain a healthy immune system. Veterinarians usually build a custom schedule based on your pet’s lifestyle needs. Don’t have a vaccination schedule yet? Call us at 905-827-4100 to find out more about it.

When should my puppy get its first vaccine?

Just like kittens, puppies should get their first series of vaccines at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age.

Is it necessary to follow the vaccination schedule?

Following a vaccination schedule offers your pet the best chance to prevent fatal diseases and disorders. Missing a vaccine or taking it late potentially exposes your pet to contracting the disease.

What vaccines does my adult dog need?

Adult dogs must be periodically vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. They might also need to be inoculated against kennel cough or leptospirosis.

How much do vaccines cost?

Feel free to give us a call and our staff would be more than happy to help you with prices and other important information as well.
